In the United States, the official Hurricane Season begins June 1st and ends November 30th, however hurricanes and severe wind events can occur any time of the year.  Now is the time to prepare.  Get an emergency kit, have a family emergency plan, complete an inventory checklist on your home, and re-read your homeowner's insurance policy to ensure that you are properly insured!
